Ben Curry (he/him) is a composer and arranger at the University of Mississippi. His works have been performed by PR2, a contemporary chamber ensemble at the University, of which he is a founder. He was also a member of the composer cohort as part of Marilyn Shrude’s Sarahfest Residency.

In addition, Curry is a saxophonist, performing both solo and chamber, jazz and classical works. He has received both state and national honors, including Outstanding Musician of the Year from the Mississippi Bandmasters, the Roy Martin Award from the Mississippi Lions All-State Band, and was a member of the NAfME All-National Concert Band. He currently plays for PR2, the 11 o’ Clock Combo, and the Odyssey Quartet.

Ben Curry is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education, where he studies under Dr. Adam Estes. He has previously studied under Matt McDonald.
